We have just made landfall after the 600 mile crossing. Shortly after sunrise we started seeing land, and made our way to the south of Graciosa. After finding the Marina full, we anchored in a bay called Playa Francesa a mile further down. We are now looking over a thin channel, apparently frequented by whales, over to Lanzarote. We had swims off the boat, and feel clean in a pretty novel way. The landscape is rather dramatic, with cooled lava flows forming strata-esque formations, some of which end in violent cliffs. Now we are slowly working out the earliest we can eat supper. Life, as they say, is hard.
