After the excitement of the first couple of days, the wind has settled
to a very gentle F3 from the north. It's just about enough to keep the
boat running serenely towards the Canaries, and we hope to arrive
sometime tommorrow.

We're starting to develop a proper routine, and even got round to a few
maintenance jobs yesterday. The strut supporting the rear cabin hatch
when it's open has finally failed (classic fatigue failure!). Steve
tried to mend it with a splint of molecular metal compound, split pins
and jubilee clips - but we all agree it would really last!
