Finishing this leg of the journey we sailed today around the west coast of Lanzarote to the rather smart Marina Rubicon for the end of our journey. It is here your narrator must leave you, so expect the comments to become more prosaic and terse from here on in. The man helping with our lines commented Robs steering, so this is currently Best Marina Ever.
The run down itself was rather quick, averaging over 7 knots in winds that again were completely mis-predicted by Ol's grib file. Now the boat will be prepared for the Atlantic proper, and so we will be sending Al up the mast as often as possible. Or in Rob could drop Heidi's rudder, needing a recovery effort with string, rope, Steve and an anchor...
