Well it's about time we put something on this
blog!! We are currently in Puerto Calero, Lanzarote using all the
wonderful facilities here like wifi, electricity, warm, no HOT showers after
having denied ourselves these simple pleasures on the beautiful island of
Graciosa, where Guardian Spirit has spent the last 6 weeks. We
really enjoyed Graciosa and met some lovely people there, which is why it felt
like a safe place to leave the boat. We went back to the UK to see our
famiily over the Christmas period and had a great time, the children were all as
beautiful as we remembered (and a lot bigger). Time just went too fast and
we wished we could have had more time to visit friends, so if we didn't get to
see you we were thinking of you! A big thanks to Ben and Marie for putting
us up and disrupting their home and office for us and also a big thanks to
Richard for the loan of the works van, and to Julie for the teabags, you're an
angel! and to Lou for the cream cakes mmmm!
Well we have just made a momentous decision to cross the Atlantic on
Wednesday! So we've just opened a bottle of wine to steady the
nerves! Just need to do a fresh fruit and veg shop tomorrow, stow away,
and off we go. Does anyone ever feel ready to go?
