5th July 2011
Continuing clockwise around the island, a four hour sail in light winds took us to a very sheltered anchorage with clear blue water just to the west of Isla Colom, where we anchored for the night in 3 metres over sand. Very beautiful but not so peaceful as dusk fell. Eagles nesting on Isla Colom were continually being harassed by the local sea birds. Even when it was dark it was possible to discern large winged bodies scudding across the skies. Eventually however the cacophony ended, leaving the anchorage as one of the most tranquil yet discovered.
