Now that's better!

Position: 36:56.26N 001:51.30W - Heading to Mojacar, Almeria, South Coast of Spain

Last night was the first time we've entered into a port and Chris hasn't fastidiuously hosed the saltwater off DecaDance.  That's how tired we were!  We left at 6am, keen to get around Cabo de Gata before the winds picked up and before the marineros arrived wanting any money for such a short stay.

We hoisted the sails in the bay and slowly drifted in light winds at a couple of knots enjoying scrambled eggs, tomatoes, toast and fresh coffee in the cockpit, refuelling ourselves for the rest of the journey.  Nearing the corner we were close to a small French yacht heading the same way so Chris, being a man, decided it was a race of course.  At 15 knots the winds have been much more manageable, but again on the nose - I think Mother Nature has decided we haven't quite perfected our tacking technique yet!  It's definitely improving though.

Away from the high-rise hell-holes, the coastline of Almeria is beautiful and we're making much better progress along it than yesterday (thank god!).  We've just put a tack in to take us close to shore at Mojacar where my little brother got married last year.  We're going to wave at everyone in the Blue Lagoon as we go by, we'll be there in a couple of hours - wave back Tracey and Graham!
