Yesterday morning we waved off the adorable Rob as he left us to return to his adoring wife.  Bless his cotton socks, he presented us with a leaving gift of a fishing net so the next one won't get away.

The rest of the morning was spent tidying the boat and then the afternoon spraying and brushing down the decks.  Somehow they don't seem like chores when you're carrying them out in the sunshine.  There was a strong southerly wind and huge waves were crashing against the breakwater and spraying the boats moored along there.  We'd like to leave here and make our way to marina Rubicon, but this will be the first trip with just the two of us on board and we have to make sure conditions are suitable, not so much for the sailing bit, but for coming alongside on arrival.

We went for a walk in the afternoon to look for some off-the-beaten-track local restaurants but failed miserably.  This is a purpose built marina, surrounded by 100 purpose built luxury apartments and a huge hotel.  We double checked the marina restaurants on the way back to the boat and decided to eat on board.  This place has no soul, no atmosphere, and we're hoping the winds will be kind later today so we can move on.
