At the moment Chris, recognised by many (including himself) as the least patient man in the World, is all alone on DecaDance waiting for two replacement spreaders to be installed before he can finally set off on the journey up to the Med. His intention was to leave early April and sail in tandem with Dave and Ruth but the spreaders haven't even been sent yet and Dave and Ruth will have to leave soon. The Three Musketeers moved Dexter and DecaDance just a few miles along the coast to Marina del Sur in Las Gallettas for a change of scenery. They seem to prefer it there, although I suspect that may have something to do with the price of beer in the bar at the end of the pontoon.

Chris's daily Skype calls have kept me up to date with days and evenings out with Dave and Ruth, participating in the San Miguel Regatta, sing-a-longs and shenanigans with Country Dave, and trips up Teide and lots of fun with his best mate John who joined him for a week earlier this month. In the meantime, I've had traction every day to relieve what turned out to be a prolapsed disc.

Take the above with the intended tongue-in-cheek as I know it's not been all sunshine and sangria for Chris who's missing me very much, as I miss him. And it's been far from doom and gloom for me as I've caught up with many friends that I've missed so badly and I've thoroughly enjoyed staying with my mum. And to top it off the traction has worked, so I'm off to join Chris for a few days next week to bob around in the marina. I have to wait a few weeks before I'm fit to sail but I can't wait to catch up with my man and plan the next leg of our adventure.
