We had an exhilarating sail to Santa Eulalia yesterday.  25 knots of wind after the first half hour, and although that's not fruit bowl juggling wind speeds, it was a bit much for mum who disappeared into her cabin until it was all over.  There's a marina at Santa Eulalia, but at one hundred plus Euros a night, when we've got an anchor, a generator, water-maker and a tender to get ashore, who needs marinas?!  After anchoring just outside the harbour I spied an opticians through the binoculars, so three hours later Chris picked up a repaired pair of glasses, new sunglasses on their way in a couple of days and no worries about shipping to and from the UK.  Result!

We were too late going ashore to meet up with Dani our laptop-fixer.  But we had a wander along the promenade, a quick search down the side-streets and a huge meal that almost defeated Chris.  Almost.  Not quite.  It's a reasonable-sized town here, with lots of hotels but in a pretty setting.  There was a pretty bad swell in the bay overnight which was due to die down but didn't, so after a wibbly-wobbly night we've moved 2nM along the cost to Cala Llongar.   We'll pop back to Santa Eulalia tomorrow for all the chores; laptop, mobile broadband and a big supermarket shop, but today we're just swimming and relaxing with a bit of cleaning and blogging in between.
