April 22nd 2008 We had a perfect sail up to here, arriving in the morning, just as some of the Classic boats were coming out of the harbour. It was the very end of Antigua Classic Race week, and the harbour was full of glorious old boats, (just think of the varnishing and hard work - I think I'll stick to GPR!). While looking for somewhere to drop the anchor, Chris and Jim on Baroness called us up on the VHF, with a spot just in front of them, so there we were, to catch up on news and also to enjoy being back in Nelson's Dockyard. We've been here on several previous trips and it does have a feeling of familiarity about it. There is also this fantastic sense of history as so little has been changed since Nelson was here. What added to the pleasure was meeting up with Jane, a friend from home, out here to help with ABSAR (Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue), for the racing weeks. She had kindly brought out the post from home and a couple of fish identification books.
