We arrived here yesterday after a great sail up from Tobago. The wind was good, not too much and even in the right direction - we made it the whole way without tacking! Bizarrely, the port jib sheet snapped without any previous obvious damage, but was quickly replaced with no hassle. Bernie actually managed to sleep through it all!
When we arrived, Seacat, one of the friendly boat boys came out, found us a buoy in calm, clear water and then came back to take us to customs where we could clear in and out for 2 weeks in one visit - a big step forward.
We then did nothing but sleep, read and relax for the rest of the day, finishing in a perfect green flash at sunset - what an excuse for a gin and tonic!
Today is less sunny, but we're off to organise more diving and birdwatching - wil let you know how it goes.
