We took Sonia and Pam to the airport at 3.30 this morning.  When we got back the forecast was good for a trip to Cartagena from Torrivieja (37 NM).  Since there was no wind, we motored down pretty smartly as the wind was due to get up from the west after lunch.  Sadly, the wind took an early lunch even after going out for a very strong curry last night and it blew in our faces at up to 30kt.  We got past Cabo de Palos by about 6 miles before but since the steep seas (caused by wind over current) were breaking all around and we were doing only 3kt, we turned tail and ran.

We made bread on the way, Windy Miller is happy 'cos he has something to chew on and the batteries are full.  We are lying to 25m of chain in 5m of water and the Rocna is holding us very solidly indeed.  Had lunch, time for a nap.

Apologies to Mark - your biirthday card will be late - mayber tomorrow!
