We left Cartagena on Thursday morning to take advantage of the forecast good winds - and the forecast was just about right!  However, it still took a good 30+ hours to get to Ibiza since the winds dropped!  Never mind!

We  were going to treat ourselves to a night in a marina after such a long trip but we went to Santa Eulalia and found the office closed and someone telling us it would be at least 150 Euro for the night!  We turned around and went to a pretty anchorage (Cala Longa) a few miles back. Here we found a beach at the end of a deep bay crammed with yachts and large motor yachts (over 100ft long).  We managed to find a spot to anchor at the 2nd attempt, had a good meal and went to bed!

Our friends Geoff and Barbara who have a similar yacht to us related a horror storyof going to Ibiza town and having to pay 286 Euro for one night with the 2nd night being cheaper at only 150!  Geoff's advice about Ibiza was to leave quickly!
