Some pictures from our trip after leaving Gibraltar
Leaving Gibraltar
See the Rock in the background
We did a 24 hour sail and we came across some very large boats on the way
And the sun came up and was beautiful
Even the flag looked good!
Our first sight of land was Caleta De valez (Torre
Del Mar)
It was a small port with many fishing boats and fisherman & naturally smelled of fish!!
The next morning we set off again and John decided to take things easy!!
Even stripping down to his undies and doing exercises!!
We came across this very large mooring buoy that was a hazard and would cause a real fright if hit in the dark!!!
John then gets his own back and catches me asleep!
We then had our first sight of Cartegena which is a beautiful historic city and there was much to see
These little statues are all over the place
The chronology of the city
John with a statue of
Carmen Conde and who was important to this church
Then Julie went shopping at the biggest store in the city!!
And we left the next morning for Ibiza which is one of the Spanish Balearic islands
We only stayed overnight there and left at 2 am for our destination Majorca which we reached at around 4 pm. Right at the moment we are anchored in this amazing bay , but we are leaving tomorrow morning to go further up the coast. We shall probably tour the island for a week and then set off back to Cartagena as we are leaving for 2 weddings in the UK at the end of July, so we have to find a safe place to leave the boat for about 3 weeks.
Today we went on foot and visited Cala D’Or and how pretty was that!!
and thats where we may be anchored tommorrow
or something much like it!!
And finally we saw this van......Cant get away
from
the
Brits anywhere!!
