We left Bayamo and set oiff for Santiago de Cuba which is the 2nd largest city.
We found a new Casa Particulares where both couples could stay. It was not so good as the last place and I didnt want to eat there. We spent 2 nights there with them and explored the city . The city is like any other large city, busy and with beggars and hustlers. You didnt dare look as if you were undecided about where to go or someone would want to take you to his friends place for a fee of course.!
Our 2nd Casa in Santiago and our hosts
The amenities are basic by western standards but good by cuban standards
Some views of Santiago. Check out the fact there is no litter anywhere and how smart the people are. Check out the buses and various forms of transport
A baby buggy/stroller is a rare sight as most mothers carry their children which may be because of the cost of the buggy.
This little girl was just shopping with her mum, the children are always beautifully dressed
