Half way!

Skye Blue sailing

A night of trying to sail at 130 degrees to the wind in
light conditions and some swell (yes, we are out in the Pacific swell again
- home sweet home! Learning to walk....:DD) followed by hauling the main
tight in, furling the jib and switching on the engine. We do need sleep in
this establishment! :DD Enough of this banging. Even got rained on. All of
us. Which reminds me I forgot to mention our shift pattern.
Another new creation from clever skipper Stephen: 3 hours on duty, 6 hours off
duty, 3 teams (Orla and Laura, Malene and Stephen) which creates the issue that
we will all have the same watches at the same time. So to make the pattern shift
times, Stephen put in 4 hour watches during the day. Brilliant. Love a long nap
during the day! And time to cook and rest
Back to the sailing: the night was followed by the
excitement of a new lovely dawn with sunshine and marking the half way mark
reached. Cheers! ;D Celebratory veggie lasagne - which by the way is absolutely
delish! And my attempt to bake a cake. It came out looking like something had
exploded inside it. Hmmm. Made lunch for tomorrow, Wednesday, as we are
expecting a bit more breeze.
Since yesterday the fish are up 3-0 by the way.
Enough for now. Off to my bed!
All is well!

PS. A challenge is coming.... You never know who's up
for rhyming. It's all about timing...
