We are planning to leave Raroia today, after 10 days here. It is difficult to leave as it is Paradise, but seriously running low on just about everything that doesn't have "Maggi" or "Campbell's" written on it......

The winds have been F5-6 for the last 4 days so really been hiding here. Our Danish friends on Perk that we met both in Shelter Bay and La Playita, Panama, arrived two days ago - they had a windy sail from Marquesas, so just confirmed it's better to sit inside Paradise than outside ;D

It is a fascinating place. We have been looking at the big breakers just on the other side of the reef. Minder om en god dag ved Vesterhavet. The depth plummets to 1500 meters just over a mile from where we are anchored. The reef seems very small compared to the huge Ocean out there. An still it protects this amazing world here. More water is coming in through the gaps between the sand islands now, because of the wind , filling up the lagoon. So we will have a fair current going out of the pass on the western side.

Our next destination is Makemo, about 80 nautical miles from here. Doing an overnight sail.

Life is good.
