Into the breach! Through the pass and BAM! Right into
the Pacific again! Big swell, quite short steep waves due to the wind - a Force
5 - and just Big Bula Waterpark. Splash, soak, bouncycastle!
It's good fun to be out on the Ocean again.
We are having frozen chicken nuggets for tea. Of course
heated, but still. Pathetic first night cooking as usual (unless someone thought
of pizzas like last year at this time when we left Tonga).
3 reefs in the main, about the same in the headsail,
blowing a steady 20-21 knots from SE. 2 m waves. Two tossers are what we are -
or getting tossed about anyway. Its meant to ease off a bit by midnight. Not
envying those who left yesterday. They had 25-30 knots out here. We had two
barrelfuls of water in the cockpit already. Its just the angle of the
waves.
But all is well.
