Hello there.
Fisrt of all I would like to take the opportunity
to apologize for my bad spelling.
Forgive me, but there are two main factors in this
missareble fact.
First of all, it is not my native
tounge.
But reading my swedish entrys is also a horrible
experience. A lot of misspelled words there too and letters missing in the
beggining or end of words?!
I was shocked when I read back tthe diary yesterday
night.
But then I started to think about it and to be
honest. The writinmg situation is not the best.
You sit half sideways in a spinning chair trying to
compensate for all the bumping and rocking and all the unpredictable moves from
the sea and the boat. No wonder it doesn´t allways come out right.
So why all these explenations?
Simply because I´m picky about it myself and
because I think it would be nice if I could accomplish a
correctly spelled diary. Only that.
:-)
Enough of that.
Yesterday was kind of dull. Motoring all day and
all evening. I raised the sail in the afgternoon when then wind came. And after
just one hour the wind turned and faded away again.
Around one o´clock last night we stopped the engine
and sat sails. Good wind and 10 knots.
But now in the morning it disappered again. We´ve
been running an awfull lot on the engine lately.
Aouch! That hurts to my economy too.
:-(
Forty tons day out and day in. It is a lot of
weight to push through the water.
Now we can no longer see England. And all day
yesterday we could se both England and France.
The came Belgium and now we have Holland on our
starboard side.
And tomorrow we will pass over in to German
waters.
So that´s five countrys in two days. Who said it is
not efficient to trawel by sailboat ? !
The weather is a bit cloudy and we have had a
little shower too in the morning.
But visibility is exellent and it is not
could in the air. So we are good so far.
The barometer droped five points over just a few
hours now, so let´s wait and see what comes out of that.
Sailing here in the English chanel and up the
Northern sea mean a lot of ships and zig zagging between oil and gas platfroms.
There is a LOT of them out here.
I´m surprised that there is not more accidents than
there is.
Sometimes it is real narrow in
between!
Well, There is not so much to write about
really.
We are just pushing forward to try to make it home
as quick as possible. :-)
