Almost home!

And in time for midsummer if nothing unforseen happens.
That´s good.
And that were also my hopes from the begining when we started this crossing.
But tacking around in the Irish sea and motoring in head winds in the English Chanel made me doubt it.
I was in dispair then.
But now it feels so much better.  :-)

We where ashore earlier today. And that was my first fotsteps on Swedeish soil for almost two months.
Felt strange but good.
We where in a little town called Simrishamn in the very southeast corner of Sweden.
Very pitoresque and nice little town with cobbelstone streets and small colorfull houses.

We had a  rosépepper steak with fresh Swedish potatoes and lettuce. Sooooooooo Nice!
And the sun was shining as we drank our first beer outside for this summer.

Might sound strange to you but it felt very good. It is something special about the first restaurante meal outside every year.  :-)
Maby because you can´t sit outside the greater part of the year.

Anyway.
After a short stop we where of again heading north east to cross the Hanö Bay and then turn north up the coast to STOCKHOLM !
Wow, it feels almost unreal. :-D

After so many miles I´m almost home again.
Scary !

And finaly the wind is turning with us!
THANK YOU NEPTUNE !
At last.
It has been a very strange trip all the way from the Azores up to here.
The prevaling winds this time of the year is south to west for that whole way usually.
But not this time, oh no !

I had hoped that we would have favorouble winds as predicted and then we would have been homw a week ago at least.

But that´s life and that is sailing.  :-)
And we are here now and, tuch wood, nobody has gotten hurt so far.
Things you can always mend. People are harder.

So I feel fine I guess and I truely hope that you all feel the same!

Over and out from the southern Baltic.
