Time for some more photos from the recent trip from Portugal to the
Canaries.
30/8/11. Here’s the proof that fish were caught, well one anyway. I though
it was a decent sized tuna, but apparently its a tiddler.
1/9/11. Bob was a little sceptical of our tales of the Green Flash at
sunset. On 30th August we had almost perfect conditions, although still a little
too far North. The Green Flash happens just as the last of the sun disappears
under the horizon, its something to do with the refraction of sunlight through
the atmosphere. Some say it is a myth, and its certainly more common after rum
sundowners, but I have seen it myself, and saw a small one that night. But its
impossible to capture on camera. Either way, a nice sunset is a never ending
source of pleasure. We were about 100 miles off the coast of Morocco at the
time.
And the moon was out too.
