Well since arriving its been a constant round of meeting other crews and congratulating them, parties, and I’m not sure where the days are going!

 

One memorable party was hosted by the IGY marina, with music, food, and rum all evening – all free. Having been very abstemious to date i must have had “a bad prawn” because I did feel awful the next day.

 

Yesterday we got a hire car and did a quick tour of the island and dropped Pete at the airport. We had lunch at a fantastic restaurant called the Mango Tree (yes, guess what's in the garden, but they’re not ripe yet). Its part of a hotel built into the side of the mountain, overlooking The Pitons which are volcanic cores that tower over the sea. A truly spectacular view.

 

We were all very sorry to see Pete go. He has been fantastic company, and would be welcome back anytime.
