This will be short and to the point.  We have
been hard on the wind for the last 24 hours finding that both us and the boat
are not too  out of practice.  However my head is not in the mood for
long sessions at the nav tabel on the computer.  Just before it got dark
last night we stupidly listened to a new forecast.  Headwinds and lots of
it.  Never went on the nose and never above 28 knots.  However we have
now escaped what was an endless series of low pressures to the south of
us.  162nm done the first day and the wind should in the next few hours go
to the SW giving us a beam reach.  Who knows we may even be able to take
the two reefs out and unroll the genoa!
Will write more when conditions are not so 'up hill
and bumpy'.
