Leaving England - Sorry about the delay
Nimue
Fri 27 Jun 2008 18:02
Well, we finally left Hamble a
couple of weeks ago and headed straight for Falmouth. We then a
week to sort out Nimue and to try to destress ourselves. The previous
weeks before we left were intense and we therefore needed some time to
unwind. Falmouth was also the starting point for the Royal Southern Rally
to Ireland, so we were joined by Sea Rose and Dizzy Di from the club. We
headed for Kinsale, Ireland last Tuesday just ahead of the gales
and after 28 hours we all arrived safely after a very lumpy and
windy last few miles. We will be now sailing in company for a couple
of weeks around south west of Ireland, but so far the weather has not be
too kind to us. Michael and I still feel as though we are on holiday and
not as though we have moved on board permanently. Anyway, I'm sure when
the others leave and we head across Biscay to Spain, reality will set
in.
