After cruising the bay of saints and a couple
of weeks relaxing it was time to head down the coast of Bahia towards Rio do
Janeiro and then on to Baia Da Ilha Grande were there are 365 islands ("one
for everyday of the year" as the Brazilians like to brag about it).
Well the winds turned favourable and we headed 60Nm
south of Salvador and dropped anchor at Camamu. It is also a bay with lots of
exploring possibilities but we shall leave that for the return journey!!
We shall head Porto Serguro tomorrow with an overnight sail
there.
