Saturday 21st April 2007

There is absolutely no wind so during the day, so we used the iron sail (the engine) and no fish (only lots of flying fish – looks like sardines with wings)!!!  At night we had brief periods of wind and then a lull – so the spinnaker went up and down like a yoyo. The sky at night is brilliantly clear with millions of stars. Lots of shooting stars. Is there anybody out there?? I see only sea !!   Wind: 0 – ESE2/3, Swell 1M, Log 1183Nm, Bar 1015

Sunday 22nd April 2007

We finally received some wind!!! It’s great to be sailing along without the constant engine hum in the background + it’s “still” free. Jolly Roger cruising at 7-7.5Kn with ease - spinnaker flying high. Still no fish, so it was pizza (made from scratch) and a Sunday movie + Windhoek Lager. We should be in St. Helena on Wednesday afternoon. We crossed GMT 2300 last night from East to West - no party yet!! Save that for St Helena. Wind SSE 5, Swell 1.5 – 2M, Log 1321, Bar 1014
