Day 1 And so it begins, the race started in style with an excellent send off
from a brass band and cheering from crowd’s leaving the breakwater. we hoisted
the main sail and have headed south to catch the trades. With a top speed of
11.2 Knots helmed by 1st mate Mike.We’ve had our first bit of food down us,
cooked superbly by David and Nikki, so far everyone has been happy with the
selection of songs from Nikki’s ipod... but it’s still only day 1, and looking
forward to Yankee Jan to put his old school collection on !! The night watches
have been divided and have commenced, until next time. Fabio
