All well on board.

 

Trying to make the best of a soft 4-6 knt wind but we are going in the right direction which always makes us smile – and even jump for joy if we’ve been going round in circles for a while. After 20 days at sea, we are very easily pleased.

How the Vikings, Columbus, Cook, Blythe et al managed without an mp3 player we have no idea. Can’t imagine snuggling down with your hairy jester, minstrel or jongleur would be quite the same experience, and that’s not even taking into account the squabble for bunk space.

 

And of course they wouldn’t have had podcasts bringing such treats as the Archers or, and this is me rather than Chris, the voice of Kirsty Young on Desert Island Discs..........m’mmmmm.... maybe I best get back to looking for ships or putting the kettle on for a cup lemon tea...........
