Always mindful that it’s never over till the fat lady sings, and sailing
does seem to be able to through a wobbly at you at any time, this could be our
penultimate day at sea?
This morning we slowed down as the current 26 kt wind was going to make our
arrival around midnight, which is not a good idea. For the past 2 days the
weather gods have been reminding us that the 5 days of perfect conditions we had
were a treat only and once again we are getting squall after squall,
particularly at night – spikes of 30+kts being the norm. The significant
following sea is back making life on board difficult....and the ‘patio’ is
closed. Mind you, on the plus side, it’s lovely to have the heavy
rain clean the decks.
No Tea and Cake in the cockpit today – too rough.
And as we have have had another tough night, no music at the moment; we are
taking it in turn to catch up on sleep.
Team Toots is looking forward to landfall!
