I hear you are taking a beating from Storm Antonio and the message is "stay there and don"t come north yet" so I am working my way East along 46 degrees N.  I tacked following the forecast wind shift last night (went to sleep on a 30 minute timer heading east and woke up heading south but I can tack the boat on the windwane so it's a fairly simple process.  Just one where I got soaked as it was pouring with rain).  The wind has been coming from 060 all day at 10 kts (it's slowly falling away but still giving me more than 4 kts)  so that has meant tacking at 2 or 3 hour intervals since.  It's ok, the boat is happy with the conditions and sailing well, and we are getting closer to home but it's not the direct route and tailwind I was hoping for.  That said, I've been beaten up by the weather a couple of times and am in no hurry to have another go until it is necessary.  Looks like I'm now staying south till Thursday.

I was on 30 minute alarms as there were a couple of ships in the day and it had been foggy so I wanted to be sure to catch things.  No ships (nor any today) and no fog.  Back to 40 minutes tonight.

Nature
Nothing new, still heaps of shearwaters

General.
Did a stock check on fresh provisions this morning.  Mostly so I can make sure I eat things before they rot after I found a rogue carrot that had "taken out" half a red pepper in it's own death throes when cooking last night.
lots of onions
lots of garlic
3 apples
2 oranges (now 1 after lunch)
1 red pepper
1 tomato
2 lemons (getting crispy but waiting for fishing to resume)
1 steak
1 pack of 6 sausages
3 blocks of cheese
1 1/2 chorizo's

And tins with everything I need for the zombie apocalypse shoved in various lockers.

I have also taken a cloth and some bleach cleaner to the main cabin to remove the filth and corruption that has built up.  Bog and forecabin scheduled for tomorrow as there is a limit to the fun I can handle inn a single day.  I do need similar treatment myself but it has been overcast and a bit miserable and I am waiting for a warm sunny day before I submit myself to a bucket bath.  I am not expecting visitors so think it can wait for now !

Texts

Tim - OK, got it all.  Let me know if I can climb to 27 degrees North between now and Thursday as that will make life easier but I am assuming not.  Glad you like Greece.
Jason - Thanks for weather update.  Think there are worse places to hide than Lymington and hope you find a good pub .
Mum - Another party !  Have fun.  And yes, my weather is OK.
1 - incompatible message format

Em - hope all ok in the crappy weather.  When's Harvey back ?
