Bouncing Berths
Friday 3rd July 2015Awoke to bright sunshine and little wind. Messed around getting the key for the pontoon back to the harbour master and eventually cast off at 12:30. We had a pleasant motor on a calm sea northwards along the coast spotting the landmarks we have passed so often in the car travelling to and from Barcelona. At 18:00 we arrived in Port Ginesta (41:15.41N, 001:55.29E) near Castelldefells, just outside Barcelona Airport. We had a few problems trying to get into our assigned berth, it was just too tight to get Evelyn B to reverse in safely, since the evening breeze had got up. Back to the fuel pontoon and another berth assigned which we eventually got into alongside, although I made a poor job of it! This is a very large marina with lots of services, which include some good restaurants! We had a lovely evening meal and a good sleep.
