Costa Del Sol

Thursday 29th August 2013Took the opportunity to take extra showers in Marbella, it is very hot and the RH is over 70%!! Forecast says thunderstorms on the way. Set off about lunchtime into a fresh Easterly on the nose, which soon gave rise to a 2.5m swell, most uncomfortable and slow. Finally arrived in Benalmedina (36:35.706N, 004:30.674W) around 17:00 with the wind gone and the sun like a furnace. Successfully performed our first stern-to mooring in Evelyn B, and rigged the passeralle (gang plank) which we have carried for 10 years. Just south of Torre (as
in Corrie!) Oh, the memories of smarmy waiters and endless Cubra Libres. I love
this part of the world, it's so 70's. Off shopping with Tagbury
(our Tiger striped shopping trolley). Provisioning a ship is fundamental to good
sailing. So one packet of Tuk (the Skipper's favourite biscuits) and 12 bottles
of Rioja, should see us through the next day or
two. |
