Cumana N10.28.65 W64.11.12, changes everytime we
visit, it is gradually getting worse! The staff are great but obviously
have limited finances when it comes to maintenance. Seems it is only when
something breaks it gets repaired, consequently the docks are here today but
maybe gone tomorrow. The H iron supports to the docks being rusted away to a
slither of metal and its only a matter of time before that get float
tested.
One significant failure being the fuel station, one
of the few where boats can buy diesel, or I should say could buy diesel. The
tanks have perforated, so they have only petrol for sale. So if you coming to
this neck of the woods, fill up first, don't let this put you off visiting the
area though, diesel can always be obtained somewhere. Still we're only here in
Cumana for a couple of nights, it's not one of our favourite South American
towns, but it's convenient stop over for certain things.
