These two guys Nathan and
Ben (on the right) we met here in St Lucia. They were both pearl divers in their
home town of Broom in Australia. They both have boat skippers qualifications and
Nathan decided to give up this work and move to Captaining private boats. Nathan
brought 'Dimmer? the black motor yacht from Malta via the Cape Verdes where the
owners join them for the crossing to St Lucia. They have been here for the
last month, without the owners, but they have returned now to move the boat
up to New York, where Nathan and Ben will leave.
Nathan's girlfriend 'Kat'
crewed on board as cook for the trip Cape Verde-St. Lucia, her girlfriend
'Laura' joined them from Oz for a holiday. Funny what small coincidences
there are. Nathan a boat skipper 30 years old Ben 27 years, being very like our
two sons James and Rob same build, and same laid back attitude to life. Laura
also has an Aunt and Uncle in Javea, the Aunts a hairdresser and the Uncle does
building work. They have been there 15 years and the daughter went to Javea
International College.
They are off today and we
leave for St Vincent and Bequia next
week.
