Its been five month nearly since we left here for
our winter cruise. We left for Isla Margarita, Isla Blanquilla and onto to
Dominican Republic (terrible voyage) where we met Chris and Tony again Then
on to Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba. Our return trip was back to Jamaica, south to
Curacao in the ABC islands, then east to where we are now. A total of three and
a half thousand miles, a long trip and may be too long in such a short time
scale, but we had some good sailing, some frightening sailing, some good
times with great company. Chasers highlights of the trip, well, Ille La
Vache Haiti, probably number one because it was so different, Cuba, Havana of
course beautiful, as was the countryside of Piñar Del Rio and Viñales,
but maybe takes third place to Jamaica. Jamaica, Port Antonio was
outstanding in colour, beauty and their people were nice too. Take a look at
the blog pages during the past months for further info, maybe you can make
your minds up of what appears the most interesting and
beautiful.
Now its time to start work, Chaser and
Waylander are in the marina Techmarine Oriente, its a quiet
marina, nice staff and a bit of breeze, while Hoofbeats have gone to
Bahia Redonda Marina, another nice Marina with a swimming pool too, it gets a
little crowded there and hot and steamy.
Now Chaser and Waylander are
planning the work stratergy, trips to Europe and America, what to do upon our
return, but first all those jobs that we have listed, either maintenance, or
repairs or maybe even something new.
