Chaser 2

It's Bank Holiday Monday here in Grenada, so
everything is closed today. We have a few jobs to catch up on aboard Chaser in
preparation for our trip to Tobago.
This last week we had a problem with our laptop,
the hard drive crashed, so we had to source and buy a new one. For the next two
days I spent trying to reload al our programmes, nav charts, sat phone drivers
and email links. Pretty much all is working now, only my movie making programme
to load, but I don't know how.
We left Calivigny Island and moved back round to St
Georges lagoon again, we had a free internet connexion there from Island Water
World, but then we were all kicked out of there to enable some underwater survey
work to be carried out. Our plan was to go up to Carriacou for a couple of days
to get a better shot at Tobago, but the hard drive problems meant we had to
return to Prickly Bay where we can have an internet connexion to download what
is necessary.
So thats where we are now. We have spoken to Chris
and Tony of Waylander and Warren and Vicky on Zulane today. They are coming to
Prickly Bay today and Wednesday so we'll hang around to hopefully see them.
Then, when we have a nice calm night we'll motor sail to Tobago. We'll leave
about 1700hrs, hopefully should take us 15 to 17 hours against wind and
tide, it's about 80 miles.
I've written a couple of articles for the Caribbean
Compass newspaper, and they have accepted them, one comes out in June another in
July, I even get paid so that should help keep me in paper.
Our next blog should be from Tobago where we shall
meet Susie and Billy. Looking forward to that.
