We have just arrived in kinsale, ireland. A very
pleasant sail which took 31 hours from the scilly isles. No major probs and ably
assisted by a couple of dolphins and "Podgy" the racing pidgeon who was
knackered.
I'm glad to report that our outboard motor is up
and running after emptying the fule tank and carbereture full of sea water! Now
we can go fishing up the river bandon.
Pam is now fully recovered looking for
her black bra which has gone missing and handing out her orders
right left and centre much to Andy's annoyance.. Andy,s gone off to see
another "friend" in Kinvara.
Its a small world this sailing. Two boats from SYC
have just turned up after competing the Torquay triangle. Barda and Bombadier.
The double handed crew are walking around in a daze. I dont blame them after
sailing through 30+ knots of headwind. They are only 30 odd feet long and built
for fast coastal racing. As Steve Vyse said " thats made up my mind about
offshore racing.
Meanwhile on dances we are chilling out in some
nice wind and sunshine. I,m sure Mr weather still has a few more Gales up his
sleeve before we reach shoreham.
Pam told us a story of Going Commando on her Suzies
boat Speedwell. Only Suzie will know why and in the meantime i still dont know
what going commando means?.
We leave for Emgland on Thursday subject to MR
Weather.
all the best brian
