After our busy day Friday we
decided to have a relaxing day. Valt busied himself wiring our new DVD
player speakers to optionally and separately work in the Sky Lounge and in
the Cockpit. It was good to have some quiet time. Our friends on
Pirate moved their boat to the dock by the Long Island Breeze Resort to be
closer to the dinner-dance. They offered to let us raft off, but we opted
to stay in our anchorage. At 5:00pm we headed in for a delicious dinner of
grouper and all the Bahamian trimmings. A Junkanoo Rushout was
planned and 10 very energetic Bahamian men entertained us with drums, horn, and
cowbells. After dinner our own DJ Rocking Ron provided the music on the
spacious outside deck. Awards were presented to the sailors in the
sailboat race as was a raffle. We did not win the fifty-fifty raffle, but
Amber Isle did win the next one which was a beautiful island made sea glass
necklace. What a surprise. After much dancing and merrymaking, we
climbed back in the dinghy and returned to the boat. Tomorrow would be
another quiet day, maybe a beach walk. Tuesday's weather is forecast to be
good for a trip back north, perhaps even across the top of Long Island and
further east to Rum Cay, about 30 miles. No virus found in this
