This is life at its finest, the work is minimal about 6 hours watch keeping in total per 24 hours, a bit of cleaning and maintenance of the boat, loads of sleeping, fishing, reading and telling bad jokes - the good jokes was used up in the first couples of days.

Up until now the weather man has been good to us, yesterday a steady NW wind, which lasted most of the night as well, the wind shifted to North this morning, bringing us on an 'close reach' hurtling us with up to 7.5 Kt through the water.

The sea state is calm serving us with some nice 3 meter high rollers at its best, it is a bit like a roller-coaster going up and down in a gentle rhythm.

We are all in good health, though some of us is having a bit of trouble working below in the heat, but we are made from a though cloth and no queasiness can stop a dedicated man ... for more than the time it takes to empty ones stomach wherever one might find oneself, this in turn generates a little more work for 'mother of the day' but he do not mind, since he is the one working below.

We are all excited about the prospect of exercising our knowledge in 'Celestial navigation' that is, using a sextant to pin point our exact position, we tried shortly yesterday, but alas the boat was moving about too much, so the local midday time slot, came and went while we all was spurring Des on with kind remarks like; "Are you sure you are holding the thing the right way up?" the answers are not fit for paper, did not know such word existed.
