We left Palma at 7 am having prepared ourselves for at least 3 days at sea.
We experienced quite a swell on the way out, but after sea sickness tablets
and some strong coffee all was fine! John cooked yesterday and we had a
culinary delight- shepherds pie , it was very good, and even better fried up
for breakfast the next day! (which incidentally Paul cooked) Last night,
sleeping in the forepeak was an unusual experience, one which I can only
describe as being placed in a washing machine[without water] with an
occasional slapping experience as we bounced off the waves, one sleeps
intermittantly. On waking you experience a fantastic sunrise, lovely warm
sunny weather and pleanty of sea, the odd boat appears over the horizon
which invariably makes one of us dive for the binoculars, or more precisely
to check on the radar screen just to make sure that we are not on a
collision course. Well it is 11 am and already I am planning what to cook
for our evening meal, it could be sausage or chicken,I shall try and muster
up a feast, I think it will need to be a warming supper especially with our
skipper in mind, as in a rash moment Rich has had his head shaved, and he's
feeling the cold !
Shall sign out now as I have some sun bathing to attend to, having fun, sue
