Last night saw us again suffer from little or no wind ( not enough beans in the chilli I think). Watches were bordering on the boring but Neil and Scott did have the excitement of seeing a plane in the sky at around 0500. It may be an everyday occurrence to you but we've not seen one in over two weeks!
Well, it looks likely that we'll be in Rodney Bay sometime in the next two days so with the end in sight Rich decided on a full boat clean up so the morning was spent sorting and cleaning cupboards and drawers and cleaning down the whole inside of the boat.with disinfectant and such. We decided to get it over with this morning before the heat built up too much. Entertainment near lunchtime was had with Neil and Ninky having a COLD ( straight from the fridge ) water fight which later involved Robin as he felt a little left out.
All but the last container of diesel has now been decanted into the main tanks so that we can put the engine to good use and "fly" across the line into Rodney Bay.
No flying fish today but Neil was hit by a flying cabbage stem thrown out of the port side window by Rich. He's now in a vegetative state.
Other flying things today were two gannets (I think it was a pair of boobies. Skip) who stayed with us for a few hours as they wheeled and dived for flying fish, probably telling them " this is how to fly ".
We've also had another quiz with Phoebe B today which was enjoyable for them as they won. Least said................
Big news today is that Ninky finally washed her hair and had a shower. The hair has for days been getting into stranger and stranger styles and finally resembled a "Hebden Bridge special " which could conceal contraband and young children.
Scott has again kept his usual position , horizontal, when not on watch or eating and Lee has decided not to do any more laundry as him mum may refuse to do it any more when he gets home.
Dinner of some sort of Stroganoff ( actually Fabada) is now served so ,as it's more important than you are, I'm signing off now.
Neil
