Tranquilizer day eleven ( we think)! We're now starting to lose track of time but not space ,of which we have plenty. The early watch of Robin and Ninky found the quiet of the early hours broken by a gurgling sound. Ninky thought it was Robin attention seeking until she realised that he was choking on the five sweets that he'd stuffed down his throat to save nyone else having to eat them. The threrat of the Heimlick manoevre soon had them dislodged and the watch finishe quietly.Next watch was Neil and Scott who resolved to have a quiet one also. This was not to be as at around 04.30 we had an intruder aboard in the shape of a flying fish that unceremoniously whacked Neil in the left eye and cheek. The fish landed on the deck and was a contender for todays lunch until it was decided that it was a brave fish to have a go at Neil when it was usually the other way around. The fish was released unharmed.
Lee decided that today he'd exhausted the " Holland Park clothes rotation" having worn most things four different ways around and had a "wash day". This involved towing his clothing behind the yacht but only after having his bowline checked before throwing them over.
Back in a minute.............. Just caught a small dorado.
Had a quiz with Phoebe B today . We scored 17 out of 20and Phoebe scored 18 out of 20 so the less said soonest mended!
Afternoon tea was interrupted today when Neil, stupidly, balanced his cup on the side and a quick lurch of the boat dispatchd it over the side into 4000 mtrs of water. As tea is now rationed to save gas this was a bitter blow and a lesson learned. Evening meal alla Rich was a wonderful Morrocan lamb casserole but without the dried apricots which Robin devoured a week ago. Back in a minute.........
OK we just caught our second fish of the day .. another dorado .. roughly 10 lbs and 70 cm long. It's now gutted ,filleted and skinned and in the fridge with the other onje ready for tomorrows feast of fish.
Here's hoping for a flying fish free night tonight.......
Neil
