The last day of preparations before crossing the Atlantic!

Tranquilizer

Morning landlubbers, and greetings from the good ship Tranquilizer (or
Tranquillizer, according to our stern)!

After a rather raucous night, including a close call for the first mate when
a firework shot into the crowd, we're hoping for a rather relaxed start to
the day, but the skipper has other plans, so we've already been wrapping up
the potatoes individually, chief potato-wrapper Lee in his element.

Food came aboard yesterday, and I've been busy doing a complete inventory
and drawing a map of all the cupboards, nooks and crannies so, hopefully, we
know where things are when we need them. No-one wants to be head upside down
rifling through cupboards looking for the pasta when the inevitable
sea-sickness sets in. (It is in cupboard 2B!). Alongside what we've had
delivered we've been counting up what is already on the boat. Quite what
we're going to do with 24 tins of mushrooms remains to be seen...

Fairly light winds are forecast, so we may have to travel further south than
planned until we catch a breeze. Keep heading south until the butter melts
then turn right!

Last day ashore, so looking forward to a final chicken ciabatta, soaking up
the sun and trash talk with the other crews.

Iamas!

Ninky (token girl).
