At this moment we are motor sailing along the southern coast of Spain in
warm sunshine (shorts and T shirts still)but little breeze. Last night was
spent in harbour at Caleta De Velez -Torre Del Mar. This harbour contained a
large fishing fleet together with expensive sunglasses in its murky depths!
and as we left this morning boats were returning after a nights fishing
surounded by hundreds of hungry seagulls. This stretch of coast line is very
densly populated from the sea up to the foothills of the mountians, the
highest peaks of which had some snow on. We have seen several large pods of
porpoises and dolphins though as yet none have come up close enough to be
photographed. We did spot a huge jellyfish which prompted a quick 360 degree
turn to get some pictures.
We are visiting the marina at Puerto De La Duquesa this evening before
pressing on to Gibralter tomorrow.
