Tilly Mint is going SLOOOOW. 661 miles to go, making our average in the last 24 hours about 140 miles. The reason- not enough wind for the white hankie sails and too much for the Beastie. We've avoided the squalls, just a little light rain at the 9pm watch change and we all woke up to a beautiful sunrise. The full moon continues to light up the night sky and last night we almost had flat calm as the winds dropped.

Batting average down so The Blue Beastie is being rigged as I type which involves Steve and Alex on the foredeck executing a complex crochet pattern with a rainbow selection of coloured lines. Needless to say wind speeds are picking up such that by the time the Beastie is ready to fly it could be too windy for it- oh the trials and tribulations of life at sea

Arrival on Monday is looking perilous unless we up the pace........

Absolutely no news or funny stories to relay so I might have to make up some scandal as we plod through the last days of our voyage. The children are coping well, yesterday's we had a paper plane tournament, launched from the cockpit and down the companion way. We also discovered that pieces of melon skin make  great skimmers across the briny blue. As you can see little amuses!

More news later on the Beastie
