Sun Shining on a Rainy Day

After a fairly dismal day - rain, cold, either no
wind or wind on the nose - spirits are looking up. Grog has been served, the sun
has come out and it looks like it will be a beautiful night. The wind is still
being uncooperative so we are motoring, and the cockpit has a faint "wet dog"
small from wet cushions and people - but hey some sun and grog is a great
start.
Shipping lanes were packed - particularly the E
bound we had to play Russian Roulette and skip across at just the right moment
to avoid a heavy load of tankers, ferries, container ships and
liners.
No fish yet, but no rods out either so perhaps we
shouldn't be surprised. We are waiting for the "big game" in Biscay - the tuna
which have thus far proved somewhat ethereal in European waters.
