Pitons Off The Port Bow

Following the emotions and rum punch on Saturday night there was a air of quiet calm around the marina on Sunday morning, noiseless preparations for breakfast and onward voyages, bleary eyed crews shaking off the inertia of 2 weeks attached to land. All aboard Tilly Mint woke early, there is laundry to do, unpacking from our land lubber trip to Marigot Bay and a spot of gentle provisioning for the day ahead. Alex and Nigel from Discovery finished off a last test of the electronics, they are like little boys with the best set of Meccano, that little glint in their eyes that tells you that they are secretly most content with something broken that they know they can fix. Nigel has worked wonders this week, Tilly Mint is wholly restored after the injuries inflicted during the voyage and we can take our beautiful boat sailing again.

As we have set the standard of not doing anything too energetic before lunch we set off for a leisurely afternoon sail back towards Jalousie Bay where we anchored  last night. This is the beach that we visited most often last week, the Pitons are old friends now and made for spectacular companions to our morning coffee. Just time for a quick a quick swim before weigh anchor. I could stop and chat but apparently the water is really warm...sorry.....bye.....splash!
