We arrived at Playa Blanca at 06:30. Unfortunately, at this time dawn had not yet arrived and it was blowing a houly. We thought about trying to negotiate docking in the marina in the dark in 30 knots of wind with no bow thruster....  ...for about two seconds before deciding to put down the anchor and do what all sensible mariners do - have a brew and some breakfast.

Later on the wind dropped, the sun came out and we gently ambled into the marina.

Check in to the marina was greatly improved by the presence of a 6ft Spanish beauty at reception. On skipper reporting this back to the crew they hurried off with their passports to check in as well.

After berthing followed frantic cleaning and washing. Unexpectedly the skipper showed that he could use a washing machine, Stuart a loo brush and Sam a hose. Tilly Mint was soon gleaming and after a glass of champagne the exhausted crew retired to the pool.

A final check of the lines, a hastily prepared carbonara and back on the plane to Blighty.
