17:21N 37:22W stll big seas 3-4 m but calming all the time and likely to start doing poling-out tricks soon. Poling out uses the big pole to hold out the fwd sails so less collapsing all of which Chris helped me sort out whilst in Gib, so thanks again Chris.

My massive transat research of many crews with whom I sailed show that most people want their TE (Transatlantic Experience) to last 10 days. Up until this point if I offered magic button to -ping! suddenly be finished ..... most people would be oh no I am enjoying being on the water and all that ... but from 10days onwards yerknow they felt they'd done enough to earn a transat badge and they WOULD press the magic button.

All of which means that this next few days is the SUAD zone - Shut Up And Drive. Then later, towards the end of the week it will be ooh only a couple of days nearly there etc. which is another perhaps nicer phase ... Feels like 170 mile days 80hours for 600nm I think

One slightly weird thing is that I hear noises that sometimes sound like human voices - just a word here and t here once or twice a day perhaps - and othr solo types have mentioned this. Oh well whatever only going as normally-mad as others.
