Here we are again, after a relatively short but excellent Caribbean season, Rainbow and her crew are getting ready for departure.

We are looking at leaving on Monday 18th, and still look to be on schedule for this. Just waiting on one part to be delivered.

We have a crew of 10 people, the normal 7 and 3 delivery crew.

Myself, Mathew Sweetman the Captain,

Archie Wills the 1st Mate

Lewis Grifitths, deckhand

Finn Stokes, Deckhand

Amy Banger, Chef

Ana Clarke, Stewardess

Alex Rollason, Engineer

Plus our 3 new crew

Darragh McCarthy

Billy Hitchens

Hamish Studholme

Some great experience between the lots of us, and a great bunch of people, it will be fun sailing with them, and we are all looking forward to the trip.

First stop, should be the Azores, some 2200 miles away. The weather is fairly complex at the moment, so I am also looking at Madeira as an alternative option, which is 2600 miles away.

Then through the Straits of Gibraltar and onwards to Palma de Mallorca.

Fair winds and following seas are hoped for.
